Chris King….a name that is synonomous with quality, style and durability. A not so well known part of the Chris King story is that the creation of such ubiquitous components, such as the Chris King NoThreadSet, was a derailment from Cielo Bicycles. In 1978, Chris King was producing bicycles: classic lugged steel framed touring and road racing bikes built in the same manner as all things Chris King. The pitfalls in the process of his bikes were the components he was forced to work with, which led him to starting his component fabrication company.
Enter 2008, and with an already successful component company, Cielo bikes are reborn in the same tradition and quality found in the original models. With Chris King and Jay Sycip (of SyCip cycles of San Francisco) controlling the quality and having access to the best steel tubing on the market, Cielo cycles are a “sure thing” if you are looking for a semi-custom, comfortable, utilitarian and gorgeous bicycle.
With 16 different frame sizes, 20 different paint schemes and a myriad of color options with regards to wheels, headsets and bottom brackets, Cielo may just be the custom dream bike that you have always been looking for…..without the custom bike prices.
