On February 8th, Bend local alpinist Graham Zimmerman will share stories of his recent expeditions to Alaska and Pakistan recounting stories of big climbs on wild mountains, beautiful environments hidden between steep contours on the edges of the map and the amazing people who call these places home.
This event, sponsored by Oregon Wild, celebrates locals and their daring and wild nature to explore the far reaches of the world in a sense of exploration, adventure and first ascents.
Graham was born in New Zealand and raised in the Northwest, and after being exposed to alpine terrain in the Cascades, Graham moved back to NZ where he cut his teeth in the Southern Alps and became a strong part of the Kiwi climbing community. Then, after graduating from university in 2007 he moved back to the states and has been focused on climbing as it applies to alpinism ever since.
Outdoor Research and Exped, Grahams sponsors will be on hand for raffle prizes!
Join us Wednesday February 8th, 5:30-7pm at Crows Feet Commons to hear his story and enjoy the visual journey.”
